❝ AS KORE . kore was born in the current timeline as mc, living her life as a hunter until a wanderer encounter almost cost her her life, in fact, she was temporarily pronounced dead until the doctors that were working on her managed to shock her heart back to life. however, after that incident, she was discouraged from continuing her job as a hunter.for the most part, she accepted the recommendation. while she is still working under the hunter's association, she mostly deals with desk jobs, such as research and paperwork, and tending to hunters who have been injured on the field. as such, she is no longer deployed to deal with wanderers on the field unless they are short on manpower or only during missions where her evol would provide her team with an advantage on the field—though this is a rarity. eitherway, she does not mind the change of pace, after all, she never did like the violence that came with working on the field as a hunter.unknown to most though, and even to kore herself initially, the incident of her temporary death triggered an awakening in her soul, unlocking the memories and an ancient presence of several lifetimes past, though her awareness of such memories remained suppressed until a fateful encounter with someone who recognized the soul that resided in her current body, someone whose soul called out to hers, pulling forth the entity that had always resided inside her, slumbering.
❝ AS PERSEPHONE .the goddess of spring, mistress of life and death, queen of the underworld and wife to hades—that was the identity of the entity that slumbered inside kore, triggered by her temporary death. ironic, perhaps.kore and persephone are two sides of the same coin—they are one and the same. no such divide, separation nor differentiation from each other is necessary. kore is the person that most people would encounter. polite, warm, soft-spoken and non-confrontational. however, as the year progresses and the days grow shorter and colder and the nights grow colder, so does her personality enter into a shift. darker, quieter and more introspective, keeping more to herself than not. this is her role as persephone when she wears the title and mantle of the queen of the underworld. however, that is not to say that other factors cannot trigger her darker emotions, though very rarely does it happen.as kore became aware of her true identity, so too did she come to know the duties and responsibilities she needed to fulfill as persephone. just like how humans have written her myth, every year as winter arrives, her mortal body dies—or more specifically, goes into slumber—until spring arrives in the following year, forced to wander the earth as a shade until her reawakening when the first bloom appears. this was the price she must pay for being able to freely traverse the realms of life and death—one she willingly accepts and pays every year in order to be with those she cares for and loves the most.and so the cycle repeats. year after year.

▍ ❝ MAIN : PERSEPHONE.this is the verse which follows the information written on kore's general information. this is a take on a modern or in-world retelling of hades and persephone's myth in regards to how he takes her away into his territory. this is also the verse where she "dies" every winter, only to wake up once spring arrives. she would wake up as the original kore, goddess of spring, without the memories of her current life until she meets hades (qin che), after which she will once again recover her memories and the cycle of her life repeats.
▍ ❝ DRAGON PRINCESS AU.a version of sylus' myth but instead of a sorceress, kore is the sheltered princess of a kingdom (not unlike the princess from abysswalker's myth), who stumbles upon a wounded dragon who she offers to help and heal despite his protests. recognizing her healing abilities as something useful to keep, he steals her away into his lair to keep for himself. could be connected to the main verse if it's treated as a past life. was originally written with qin che but could be applied to others if requested.
▍❝ XIANXIA/COURTESAN AU.initially imagined as one of kore's past lives but can also be a standalone. in this verse, she is a highly sought after courtesan in the most popular brothel in the capital (set in ancient china). named meihua, she excels in the four arts of painting, calligraphy, music and qi. she has also been trained to sing and dance by her "sisters" in the brothel. while she does indeed service patrons in the pleasures of the flesh, it is something she does very rarely, an instead entertains her patrons with her other skills. she is not aware of her identity as persephone in this verse (yet). originally plotted with qin che .

the holder of winter's chill. her encounters with him are few and far in between but they have always been pleasant. he's been nothing but a gentleman to her, exchanging a flower for a snowflake whenever they met. she thought that was very nice of him.
